Beyond The Waiting Room: Webinar Series
In collaboration with the IUGA Communications Committee, IUGAPAC will be hosting a Webinar Series in colloboration with patients. The series, entitled “Beyond the Waiting Room”, will provide an interactive, patient-centered setting where patients, experts, and participants can discuss pelvic health topics in an accessible and practical way. The first webinar of the series is being held with the Association for Pelvic Organ Prolpase Support (APOPS).

Sheree is a motivational speaker with 42 years of experience as a women’s and men’s health care provider, patient advocate, educatior and facilitator of change for the healthcare gap continuum. She had her own pelvic organ prolapse after the birth of her first son, with bladder, bowel and sexual health issues. She believes families will flourish, when they have access to education, resources earlier in the pelvic health process. Sheree works with patients, gruops, and organizations to empower them in regards to their personal and buisness health. Sheree is also the host of The FemTech Health Podcast. She is a APOPS Board Member.

Leon N. Plowright, MD, FACOG, FACS, is a urogynecologist and pelvic reconstructive surgeon at UF Health Jacksonville, where he is Clinical Assistant Professor and Medical Director of Elizabeth G. Means Women’s Services. He cares for women with pelvic organ prolapse and teaches surgeons in training. He serves as Vice Chair of the IUGA Communications Committee.
